She went through every stage of grief and glory with this one, in about two hours' time. Half marched back to Tiffany's to give it back herself. But it's so pretty. It feels unreal and heavy beneath her fingers, and absolutely sacrilegious when she fastens it. He's right. It's much too fine for everyday wear around her neck. But that's what she tries it with, first, just jeans and one of her mesh tops. And that's what she sits in their rooms to wait for Remy in, arms crossed by his door. As soon as she sees him, she schools her expression into something stern and upset.

"Absolute idiot man. Tell me I'm not currently wearin' at least thirteen felonies."

The face does not hold, and she cracks a little smile even by the end of her sentence, much to her chagrin.

"It's not nothin' if I don't get caught. Which I didn't," he says. Tiffany's security is, of course, no small joke. But he's stolen from more prepared targets and gotten off clean. With Magik's help in transmuting a replacement necklace, he'd barely even had to do any sort of planning.

"Looks good on you," he adds after admiring Rogue for a second.

"Sure as hell better, for all those years it's gonna cost you once you are caught." But that's an empty taunt. She tilts her head, beckoning him closer. "How'd you get it?"
