Ages ago, Emma (drunkenly) promised a girls trip, and she's not one to go back on a promise. So, before school starts up again, she's dragging the women of the X-Men (and Selena, Kitty's ?girlfriend?) off with her to Mykonos for a three day weekend. All transportation is via Illyana (thanks girl), so they can arrive and depart with no travel time. Magical! They'll head out mid-morning Friday and return Sunday night. Have fun at home, boys!
As one would expect, Emma has booked them ridiculous accommodations in the
Diamond Villa at Cavo Tagoo, which has more than enough room for everyone. Selena and Kitty get their own room, and Emma will claim one for herself (someone can share a bed with her, if they want), but everyone else can fight over that last bedroom!
Emma is paying for everything, and she'll even take anyone who wants to go shopping on her dime as well. What's money for if not to spend on your friends, right?

FRIDAY: Rogue and Open by the Pool
The moment they're gone, though, she sees one of her friends and beckons them over. "Hey, sugar. You want a drink?" Her eyes say something more like, please take this drink from me.
FRIDAY: Rogue and Illyana by the Pool
"Thank you," she says. "Is it from your admirers?"

SATURDAY
SATURDAY: Card Guessing Drinking Game
The game is simple - make a guess about the card you're about to draw (face card? higher or lower than a certain number? pick two potential suits? red or black?) - if you're wrong, you have to drink. The cards are kind of weird, though, so suits are pizza (red), donut (black), pretzel (red), sandwich (black). The person who hits five wrong answers first has to slam a cup that's just a mix of everyone else's left over drinks.
(Rin has physical cards she'll draw for you - just post your guess and I'll draw a card for you and let you know.)

SUNDAY: (EVEN EARLIER) Morning- Kitty & Selena
"Sorry. I just wanted..."
"To spend time with your friends, yes, got it." There's barely-concealed venom in her voice, which is strange. Selena's a little drunk, they both are, but Kitty hadn't heard her talk like this before. She pauses. "I mean yeah. They're my friends."
Two large eyes turn to catch Kitty's, and they're maybe a little damp. That makes her feel even worse. "It's always your friends. And I mean, I guess that makes sense, now that I've seen them in action. That one rich girl got us this entire villa. I've never stayed in a place this fancy. How am I supposed to compete with any of that?"
Kitty, because she's not sure what else to do, stretches her hand out and smooths back Selena's hair. She doesn't tense or fight away this time, at least. "You're not." She says, as gentle as she can. "I have to spend time with them, but I still do with you, too. Being with you is a rest. It's..."
"Boring."
"I was gonna say normal..."
Selena scoffs. "Boring." She turns fully away from Kitty, who sits up in bed and follows her with her eyes, anyway. "They can travel to Mykonos in literally three seconds and they've never flown coach. I've never even left the country before today. I just didn't think you were the type of person to be impressed by that kind of thing."
This stings. Kitty wrinkles her nose in protest. "I don't like my friends because they're talented and rich. They've been with me through everything. We've literally saved the world..."
An exasperated sigh, again. "I know. I'll never save the world. I'm busy saving other people. But afterwards, I want to come home to quiet. To you. I thought you wanted the same thing."
Which marks, Kitty thinks, a turning point. She could assure Selena she did. She could even make an effort to come home to her every night. But she knows it wouldn't work, even as it turns through her head now. She would try. For months, or weeks, or days. But there would be more missions. Her friends would always need something. She can't promise to prioritize anyone else, because that would be a lie, and if there's one thing Kitty Pryde is bad at.
So she turns away from the now upturned, pleading eyes on the other side of the bed.
"I think...maybe what we want is different." She says, quiet. "And I don't think it's working to pretend otherwise."
She's sort of glad she can't see Selena scoffing, a touch of bitter in her voice. "Of course you don't."
Kitty does turn to see. It feels wrong to not do this face-to-face. "I'm sorry. I am. But you deserve someone who can meet your definition of normal. I'm not going to do that. I don't think that I ever can, and it wouldn't be fair to you, if I kept being really bad at it."
"You're breaking up with me in a luxury villa. Oh my god."
Selena, laughing in a way that isn't funny at all, turns as though to leave the luxury villa, but Kitty's already standing. "I know. It's shitty timing. You don't have to go. Spend the night. I can ask Illyana to..."
"I am not letting one of your friends cart me across the world in a magic portal. I'll get a plane ticket like a normal person."
Which is maybe her right. Kitty just nods, and turns away. "...Thank you. For coming on this trip at all. I really hope you find who you're looking for."
But Selena remains stony and unmoved. "I thought that was you. But you know, for someone who works so hard, you sure give up easy."
Kitty has no great reply to that. "That's a new one, actually." She says, voice small, and since nothing else she says will make anything better, she slips out of the door.
