Five students just got into a fist fight. Sidney Pridemore says he started it, but a bystander says it was Caspian Payne. I'm inclined to give them all detention to show that we don't tolerate brawling in the halls, but I'm open to other ways to handle it when Caspian is involved.

Can someone come keep an eye on them? I'm supposed to meet my brother in the city today.

You'll have to find him. I took them to the nurse's office to get patched up, but Caspian slipped out since he wasn't really hurt at all.

Everyone was real heated. But they know they're safe. We'll show 'em.
Just yelling. Think he has to stay just a little longer to do any real damage. But I don't know exactly how his stuff works just yet.

It is — I can't imagine he was trying to protect Caspian from blame. Did it sound like he started it on purpose, or his powers just got Sidney and the others wound up?

Also, I'll obviously look after whomever, so don't let this disrupt any of your plans.

Maybe he is trying to protect the others, if he can tell Caspian can't control what happened. But... I don't know. Sidney asked me if I would be calling his parents.

I don't think that's terribly surprising. Even Christian and I rarely if ever talk about our family. I'm sure it'll be good to see him, regardless of the possible tension.

Luckily. But we're teaching them to see each other as allies, not enemies. They'll encounter enough people out there who want a fight.
