I promised an update on Charles. I was hoping something would have changed from when he first fell comatose to now, but it's remained stable.

His mind is [...] empty. The closest thing it comes to is astral projection, but it's not that. At least not in any way that I've encountered it before. All his vitals remain on track, of course. I'm not sure how useful any more digging around on my part will be, but I'm going to keep checking in for changes.

So his body is still functioning normally, but his mind has vacated the premises. Or do you still sense his mind there, but it's empty of thought?

No, it's not the best news. I wish I knew more what to make of it, but there's just nothing that I can find to go off of.

Astral projection normally leaves behind an anchor on the body. This is akin to that, but there's no anchor. Not even the wisp of one, from what I can tell.

When a consciousness gets untethered, would it even be identifiable? Like, would we be able to tell it's him, or just someone's life force sort of floating around? Or in a box, or wherever it went?

Unfortunately without knowing what happened it's difficult to know what would help.

This doesn't solve the issue that there's no great way to find him right now without just reaching around. Cerebro or otherwise.

Confirming that his mind is empty is new information, at least, even if it isn't particularly useful at the moment. It rules out someone mentally imprisoning him.

Okay. So he's left.

Possible scenarios:
1) Someone or something did this to him on purpose.
2) An accident. Something happened that no one intended, or at least didn't intend for him.
3) He chose to do this to himself.

#3 is the least likely, but not out of the question. Professor Xavier wouldn't abandon us without notice unless circumstances were incredibly dire.

#2 is more likely than #3. But the eight of us getting the same mark as him suggests a certain amount of deliberate action. Either it's the same thing which put the mark on him and us, or something put the mark on him, and something else transferred it to us.

I agree. And his mind not being there doesn't necessarily mean it's just [...] somewhere, technically. Even if it is, it could be unreachable.

I wish I had more ideas. Or we had more clues.
