WELCOME TO 367!
After inadvertently returning from Mojoworld with the X-Men, Shatterstar didn't wake up. Given that he's a manifestation from the distant echo of another reality that shouldn't exist at all, brought into being through the unlikely intersection of science, magic, and mutant power, Ambrose wasn't convinced he actually would.
But he finally has!
Unfortunately for everyone involved, the disoriented gladiator came to in the middle of the night, left the infirmary, and proceeded to slip away from the Xavier Institute without notice. The team is sent to recover him, hopefully without a fight.
Despite some complications, Shatterstar will return to the Xavier Institute with the others by midmorning. Time to start figuring this new world out!

Character A is the first to encounter Shatterstar while up in the middle of the night to get some water. Unfortunately, he sees them before they see him and he clocks them in the back of the head, knocking them out before they can alert anyone else or even just try to talk to him. Ouch!! Was that really necessary?

Eventually, Kitty Pryde discovers the empty infirmary early on Friday morning and raises the alarm. They've got a missing mutant on their hands! Character A comes around not long after, having been tucked away in some haphazard hiding spot the night before. Embarrassing.

A quick search with Cerebro allows Emma Frost to determine that Shatterstar has made it to nearby Salem Center, so a small team of Piotr Rasputin, Illyana Rasputin, and Laura Kinney head out to find him! Once there, they split up and start searching.

Walking around and talking to locals, it doesn't take long to find people that've caught a glimpse of the strange mutant, their reactions ranging from curious (is he a new X-Man?) to concerned (is he all right?) to annoyed (Xavier should start putting his freaks on a leash!). Following the clues and keeping their eyes open, Piotr eventually finds Shatterstar perched on a rooftop looking at the sky. While he's initially guarded (and maybe even combative), Piotr is able to convince him that they're not here to fight and that they'll help him make sense of everything if he comes back to the Xavier Institute. Illyana chimes in with the promise of breakfast before they return, which helps.

The group has breakfast in a small local diner before heading back. Laura introduces Shatterstar to a patty melt with fries and a milkshake and blows his goddamn mind.
